What is pre production?
Pre production- the process of research and planning the production.

Forms of pre production-
Television, film, websites, animation, advertising, digital print

Television/Film- Location recce, Production schedule, Storyboard, Scripting, Talent Casting
Websites- Create a story board, Create a layout 
Animation- Create a story board, Scripting
Advertising- Create a layout, Scripting, Production schedule 
Digital Print- Create a layout

Throughout this task I made notes on the pre production needed within each media sector, this helps me with my revision as this post contains all the basic necessary information on pre production.

  1. Emma, this needs much more detail and some context to it. Firstly, the title is somewhat misleading. Can you change it please.

    Also, can you explain what the task was and what you learnt from completing it.

    Also, how will this information help you in preparing for your exam?

  2. Can you please add an introduction (as requested in the post above) that explains what the task was and what you learnt from completing it.

    The post should also be re-titled 'pre-production' and should have much more detail with regard to the purpose of each media text and the pre-production documents you may need.

    Finally, please could you change the date so that this post sits in the right order chronologically.

    You will need to attend the Blog Monday session in order to do this under supervision.

Evaluating pre production products Why do we evaluate pre production products? Evaluating the effectiveness of pre production documentation is vital in ensuring that the final version that is sent to the production team is effective. If documents aren't checked, they could be the cause of a major planning problem, so it's important that the quality of the documents is evaluated.
